Description
The Chitosan is one of the few cationic polymers found in nature and, as such, is used in a wide range of applications.
The Chitosan VEG is extracted from cultivated plant mushroom tissues, the only Vegetable Chitosan of its kind and suitable for productions intended for vegan consumers, and activated through a patented process that increases its positive charge and contact surface, consequently enhancing its bioprotective and fungistatic strength.
The Chitosan VEG is suitable for applications in agriculture and has a low heavy metal content.
The Chitosan VEG applied to crops, both foliar and seed treatment, increases the levels of endogenous hormones after a few hours from treatment, particularly indoleacetic acid (a very important growth hormone in plants, closely related to root development) and gibberellic acid (promoter of lateral shoot formation, growth regulator of fruits, inducer of mitosis, etc.).
Applied to crops, both foliar and seed treatment, it has been shown that Chitosan VEG induces a series of beneficial responses in numerous important crops:
- direct antibiosis against crop pests and pathogens;
- increases the number of beneficial microorganisms for plant defense and growth;
- stimulates plant defense against biotic stress;
- regulates plant growth, development, nutrition, and tolerance to abiotic stress.
