Description

The Whey Protein is a by-product that has received great attention in recent years.


In 2016, the European Commission, after many studies and research, included Whey Protein in the category of Basic Substances, confirming the safety of this substance for human health and the environment.


Several studies show its effectiveness for:

  • Powdery Mildew Control: various components of milk produce oxygen radicals, which help reduce the impact of Powdery Mildew on treated leaves: Whey Protein damages the hyphae and conidia of Uncinula necator within the first 24 hours of treatment.
  • Seed Treatment: field trials have demonstrated the effectiveness of Whey Protein in controlling infections from Wheat Bunt (Tilletia tritici) without affecting the germinability of treated seeds and Rye Smut (Urocystis occulta).
  • Nutrition: used alone or in combination with other fertilizers, it helps provide a balanced supply of N-P-K to crops.
  • Soil pH Corrector: Whey Protein is acidic, with a pH between 4.0 and 6.1, and can be used to correct alkaline soils.
